U13 National Bound FAQ'S
What is the advantages to the 2011 Nor'Easter program?
The 2011 team is able to offer players and families a unique opportunity here in Northern Connecticut. Most importantly, the staff consists of an experienced, professional group that provide the team with the development to get to the next level, whether that be prep or high school hockey. The opportunity to skate out of a first class facility with an NHL and Olympic size rink, with facilities to support off ice training gives the team a great home Lastly, the independent model gives the team the flexibility to schedule strong competition through hand selected independent games, tournaments, and showcases.
What league will the team play in? Who will they play?
The team will participate as a member of the Beast Tournament Series which means they will play in all of the events the league holds in Connecticut & Massachusetts.

The team will also participate in the CHC Tier 1 program where they will compete for a spot in the New England District Regionals with a chance to move on to the 13O National Championships.
Outside of that, the team will schedule independent games against teams in the area and will travel to play in tournaments and showcases featuring many of the nation's top programs.
The expectation is the team will play between 60-65 games.
What will the practice schedule look like? Will there be an off-ice component?
The team will skate out of ISCC in Simsbury and will feature one skills session per week along with two team practices. There will also be an off ice strength and conditioning program once a week led by an ISCC Fitness Center Professional Trainer. The team will also have access to the goalie training with the Nor'Easter Goaltending Director.
