U18 DIVISION

Kyle Quick

U18 Head Coach, U16 Assistant Coach, & Split Season Director

Kyle Quick spent his prep school career at both Salisbury School and Avon Old Farms. Quick played two seasons in junior hockey, one in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the St. Louis Bandits and his second in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Lincoln Stars. Quick then went on to play at Brown University. Upon graduation in 2015, Quick started coaching various age groups and teams with the Buffalo Regals and the Rochester Coalition where he won the 2021 USA Hockey National Championship at the U18 Tier 1 level. In 2022, Quick finished U18 Nationals in 3rd place, and was runner up last year. Quick has won the U18 Beast league twice and finished as runner up in the U16 division twice. Quick currently coaches the U18 and the U16 teams for the Avon Regals, and scouts for the Rochester JR. Americans in the NAHL, and Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL.

U16 DIVISION

Scott Daniels

U16 Tier 1 Head Coach

Scott Daniels played two seasons for the Notre Dame Hounds, followed by four years in the WHL between the Kamloops Blazers, the New Westminster Bruins, and the Regina Pats. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 1989 NHL draft and played nine years of pro hockey, most notably with the Hartford Whalers, Philadelphia Flyers, and New Jersey Devils. Daniels has had numerous coaching stops amassing 23 years of coaching since his playing days ended. He has coached in the Eastern Junior Hockey League for the Springfield Pics, two season in the NCAA Division 3 ranks, two seasons working for the NHL Central Scouting, and has been coaching split season hockey for the past 5 seasons at the U18 level. Daniels Co-Founded Daniels Hockey School with his Daughter Sydney Daniels, who currently serves as an NCAA scout for the Winnipeg Jets.

U15 DIVISION

Stephen Picard

U15 Tier 1 Showcase Head Coach

Stephen Picard has been coaching youth hockey since 2017. Through six seasons coaching in the CT Northern Lights Organization, Stephen coached at the state, regional, and national tournaments. While focusing on player development and team cohesion, Stephen has been fortunate to coach many players that have continued their hockey careers at both the prep school and collegiate level. Prior to coaching, Picard played for Loomis Chafee in the Founders League. As a senior, Picard was a captain of the 2013 team and guided Loomis to its first winning season in over 20 years. After high school, Picard continued his hockey career at Assumption College. As a Senior, he helped lead his team to the school’s first NE-10 Conference Championship in 2017.


U13 Division

Eric Lang

U13 Tier 1 Head Coach

Eric Lang has been the Head coach of American International College since 2016. He is a 3 time AHA coach of the year (2019, 2020, 2022), with his team winning four consecutive AHA Regular season titles and three AHA tournaments. From 2012-2016 Lang was a coach at Army where he was responsible for handling the power-play unit, as well as coordinating video analysis of games and working with student-athletes in on-and-off ice drills. In college Lang served as a two-year caption at AIC and was honored with the ECAC Merit Medal.

Chris Potter

U13 Tier 1 Assistant Coach

Chris Potter has been the Head Coach of Wesleyan since 2003. He lead the Cardinals to the 2020 NESCAC Championship, which was the first time the hockey team won in program history. Potter has been voted NESCAC Coach Of the Year four times in 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2023. Before he coached at Wesleyan he was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Brown University. Potter played at UConn. During his time there he was a four-year ice hockey letter winner and an All-American as a senior.

U12 DIVISION

Drew Barber

U12 AAA Head Coach

Drew Barber grew up playing youth hockey in Binghamton, NY. From there he went on to play prep school hockey at South Kent School. Following his years at South Kent, he played college hockey at Trinity College in Hartford CT.  While playing at Trinity, the Bantams were NESCAC regular season champions and appeared in the 2005 Division III Frozen Four. Barber has been coaching youth hockey for the past 7 years, helping develop players both on and off the ice. Most recently, Barber was the Co-President of West Hartford Youth Hockey and the Head Coach of the West Hartford Squirt A. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Coach for the Kingswood Oxford Varsity Hockey team while attending law school. 

GOALTENDING

Anthony Giordano

Goaltending Coach

Anthony played Prep School hockey in the Founders League and Junior A hockey with the Vermont Lumberjacks and Northern Cyclones before his collegiate career with Johnson and Wales University, NCAA Division III in the New England Hockey Conference. He has served as the Northern Connecticut Lights Director of Goaltending since 2017 and guided numerous players onto NCAA DI and D3 schools. He was also a Head Coach for 6 seasons for High School level teams.
